Easy Method to Reduce Stiffness

Reading Time: 2mins

You probably have a foam roller sitting in the corner somewhere

You only think to use it when something hurts

So for the most part, it’s collecting dust

You walk past it yet again as your muscles subtly ache from all the stiffness they have built up from this year’s training season

That beautifully simple tool waits patiently for you to discover it’s true powers

The truth is, you’d like to relieve your muscles of tension, you’d like to get more limber, to loosen up…

But you’re not sure how

Maybe you know generally how to foam roll your IT band

And each time you foam roll you give a half assed 5 minutes of mindless rolling to an extremely painful area and think, “Ok enough of this”

Prop it back into that corner where it will sit untouched for another few weeks

The story doesn’t have to be that pathetic

I have grander visions for you

I have a vision that you can regularly include foam rolling sessions into your weekly routine

This will help you relieve muscle tension, improve mobility, and loosen you up this winter

But you have to know HOW to do that

I’m hosting a free How to Foam Roll Workshop on Saturday December 16th from 11:30am – Noon @ Fitness Defined in Evanston

At the workshop, I will teach you how to use your foam roller, what different muscle groups to target for runners, and how long to foam roll.

With the knowledge of how to use the foam roller, you will be able to exit the off season more limber than you went in

Without working on your mobility, winter will pass where you did nothing and your stiffness compounds on itself yet again

Let’s make this winter different than the others

Michael
